**my A key is buggering up, plese excuse it missing**

Last night ws the opening night of the Clothespeg project Volume 2 and I had  piece in the exhibition.  So exciting!  Don't you just love the afro on that guy behind us?  I met up with the VERY talented artist Miss Ali J and the always super gorgeous Miss Feli.  We had to huddle on the footpath as the gallery is so tiny but it was a gret niMesfeght.

Do you think this is for real?

300408daily This was on my free range egg.. do you think they meant to do this or was it like the time we checked out a new website at work (former) that the opposition had won the tender for and jumped on every little error we could find like the beauty under "Charity" where the developer had put test text that read "stuff about spacs and sad arses goes here"

I never read the text on eggs, but I will be from now on...

rainy all week..

Pinkeggbuddah It is winter now, so that means rainy overcast days when resin doesn't set properly.  I will have to move on to something else unless I get a heat lamp to work under.

I have so many other things I can do that have been on the backburner for the last two years that I have been focused on resin.  I tested the water by applying to volume 2 of the Clothes Peg project and my work was accepted! yay! very excited.  Come to the opening on May 21.

I have to decide this week which of the markets I want to apply to for the end of the year when the summer ones start.  It is tricky.  So many things to consider.  Lots to do and think about this week.  Be well everyone.

Good news, bad news..

Her owner just turned up!  Good news in a way for her because she was missing her owners, and their other dog and two cats were missing her...  I did suggest she get vet checked and chipped, I had just finished giving her a haircut! nice eyebrows and chin trim :-)  The owner didn't mind that she was washed and trimmed..  turns out the teeth are so bad because she is actually eleven years old, my vet thought 5 or 6.  I don't know how I feel.  Some people just don't deserve dogs.  *sob* oh and her name is Ebony?  she will always be Chilli to me.

Conundrum...

what to do... the tradesman next door says there was a school girl out looking this morning, he didn't speak to her but thinks she may have been looking for a dog..... he didn't say anything because he knew I want to keep chilli.... The neighbour says there is a house around the corner that has a silky... now my problem is this.. She is in shocking condition, underweight, filthy, bad teeth, not microchipped, registered or wearing any ID.  But on the other hand I think she is missing her owner.  I would like a very good explanation from them for her condition.  Why haven't they done a letterbox drop? or registered with the ranger and the local vets as missing?  What do I do?

I can't do anything now, she is checking her email..

found lost dog...

Chilli

Look what Minnie and I found on our walk today?  I have named her Chilli as in Chilli Dog! She is super cute, desexed but not microchipped I don't think she has been well looked after.  The filthy coat full of dreadlocks and being underweight could be put down to being on the streets for a while but the state of her teeth shows long term neglect.  I gave her a small meal and a nice warm bath and we went to the park to meet all of Min's friends which she really enjoyed.  Minnie seems to like her BTW so that is great.  I have registered her with the Council Ranger, the two vets near me and will take her up to the dog home in the morning and register her there as lost.  I would be quite happy if her owners never claim her, I would love her to join our family :-)  Wish me luck that we all get some sleep tonight.

wonderful wonderful wonderful...

030508sky Look at this people! Dawn, you know, the thing that happens about 3 hours before I get up.. :-)
So, why did I get to see it this morning?  I was off to Market again! yay! I had to wait until the sun was up before I could drill some new pieces that I made yesterday.  I had to wire them at the stall but people seem to like watching me actually working so it is a good thing.
so the market?  well, we had a terrible location.  They have this strange charter that bans the craft people from being anywhere near the farmers so we have to be seperated in case any of our craft vibes rub off on to the veg.   We thought it was going to suck and it did.  In the end we all banded together and refused to pay our rent :-)  Next week we are tying a better spot, closer to the action and on the grass which will be nice.  On the upside I did really well this time and also had heaps of fun.  It is really fun watching the customers interacting with the work and to watch the stuff that moves.  It is really great having some point to my week now :-)
